Terms & Conditions

JeevikaSetu is a technology marketplace that connects Setu Partners (independent service providers) with Setu Clients (households and businesses that wish to hire services). We provide the technology, matching, verification support, payments facilitation, and safety tools.

We are an intermediary, not an employer or service provider. Setu Partners are independent persons, not our employees, agents, or contractors. The contract for any service is directly between the Setu Client and the Setu Partner. We are not a party to it and do not guarantee the quality, timing, safety, or outcome of any service.

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. You agree to provide accurate information and to complete identity verification (KYC) where required.

• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• One person, one account, unless we permit otherwise.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, fail verification, or pose a safety or fraud risk.

• Setu Clients post jobs (including Tatkal instant requests); Setu Partners may accept or bid.
• A booking is confirmed when a Setu Partner accepts and you complete any required payment step.
• ETAs, trust scores, and ratings are indicative and provided to help you decide; they are not guarantees.

• Pricing and the payment flow are described in our Pricing page.
• Payments are processed through our payment partner, Razorpay. By transacting, you also agree to the payment partner's terms.
• Where we collect payment from a Setu Client, we hold and disburse the Setu Partner's share in accordance with the Pricing and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Our platform fee is set out on the Pricing page and is non-refundable except as stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Provide false information or impersonate another person.
• Transact off-Platform to avoid fees, or share masked contact details to circumvent safety features.
• Harass, discriminate against, threaten, or harm any user.
• Post unlawful, fraudulent, or unsafe job requests or services.
• Misuse SOS, ratings, disputes, or any safety feature.

Setu Partners must hold any licences or skills they claim. Setu Clients must provide a safe environment for services performed at their premises. We provide masked calling, SOS, live tracking, and women-only preferences to support safety, but you remain responsible for your own conduct and decisions.

You grant us a licence to host and display the content you submit (profiles, ratings, reviews) to operate the Platform. Content must be lawful, accurate, and respectful. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

We support identity verification and build Trust Scores from Platform activity. Verification reduces but does not eliminate risk. A verified status or score is not a warranty of any user's conduct.

• The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties about the Platform and about any service arranged through it.
• We are not liable for the acts, omissions, quality, safety, or conduct of any Setu Partner or Setu Client, or for disputes between them.
• To the extent we are ever held liable, our total liability is limited to the platform fees you paid to us for the transaction giving rise to the claim.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

The Platform, including its software, brand, "JeevikaSetu", logos, and content, is owned by or licensed to VariableWork Consulting Private Limited. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law.

We may suspend or end your access for breach of these Terms, legal reasons, or safety/fraud concerns. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g. payments owed, liability, governing law) survive termination.

For complaints, contact our Grievance Officer per the Grievance Redressal Policy. We follow the timelines required under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any applicable consumer-protection rights, the courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
